Vehicle Description This 1967 Chevrolet Impala Convertible is an absolutely stunningly restored droptop with great options and is ready to be your next summer cruiser! When the Impala debuted in 1958 as the Bel Air's top trim level, or even when it was spun off as its own model in 1959, few at the GM marque could have guessed what a success the Impala nameplate would become in the years that followed.
By the time 1967 rolled around, the Impala was redesigned a number of times and became one of the most popular and best selling cars in the United States.
In 1967, the Impala was placed in the middle of Chevrolet's full-size vehicle offerings, sitting above the entry level Biscayne and Bel Air, but below the sportier Impala SS and Caprice.
Interestingly, the Impala was the only full-size Chevy that came in every body style offered by Chevrolet in '67.
While the 1967 Impalas retained a similar overall look from the previous year, the new '67 body had even more pizzaz than the 1966 bodies with even more accentuated coke-bottle body lines.
Differentiating the Impala from the lower level Biscayne and Bel Air was the inclusion of additional exterior trim, such as chrome body side moldings, blacked-out taillight bezels, and special deck lid trim.
Compared to the Biscayne and Bel Air, the Impala's interior was also a bit more trimmed-up and included a fancier brushed metal instrument panel, electric clock, finger tip door releases, and more.
In total, Chevrolet produced 29,937 full-size convertibles in 1967 of which approximately two-thirds were standard Impala Convertibles.
Powering this '67 Chevy Impala is a 327 cubic inch V8 engine fed by an Edelbrock single 4 barrel carburetor mounted on an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold.
The 327 V8 is backed by a Powerglide Automatic Transmission that makes this Impala easy for anybody to drive.
Exhaust exits the small block Chevy through a dual exhaust setup that produces a fantastic throaty sound out the rear tailpipes.
This '67 Impala is loaded with options! Power steering is a wonderful option on this Chevrolet convertible since it makes turning this full-size car a total breeze and improves the overall driving experience.
With power brakes in all four corners, with disc brakes added to the front wheels, bringing this '67 Impala to a complete stop is much easier as well.
The white vinyl power convertible top is in excellent condition and it goes up and down with the simple flick of a switch.
A ZT-10 cruise control system was also added under previous ownership, further adding to the cruiser-friendly nature of the car.
This Impala rides on a set of whitewall radial tires on 15 polished aluminum Eagle Alloys wheels which gives a modest custom look and a fantastic ride going down the road.
The exterior on this convertible Impala has been refinished in beautiful Ermine White paint, just how this car came back in 1967.
The chrome and brightwork around the exterior of this Chevrolet Impala is in wonderul condition and completes the exterior look of the car.
The interior on this 1967 Impala Convertible is absolutely gorgeous! The front and rear bench seats have been correctly reupholstered in beautiful Red vinyl that contrasts nicely with the Ermine White exterior paint.
The red padded dash, red vinyl upholstered door panels, red carpet, and steering wheel all look to be in superb shape and in their respective stock configurations.
The instrument cluster is equipped with a 120 MPH speedometer, gasoline gauge, and clock, as well as indicator lights for oil pressure, generator function, engine temperature, and the parking brake.
A push-button AM radio is mounted in the center of the dash below the controls for climate control.
A Clarion AM/FM/CD system is mounted neatly under the dash so that you can listen to all of your tunes while cruising down the road.
Likewise, a set of Equus gauges are affixed under the dash as well and consist of an oil pressure gauge, volt gauge, and water temperature gauge.
Whether you're adding to your existing collection or your buying your first classic car, this 1967 Chevrolet Impala would make an excellent choice.
