Vehicle Description This 1963 Chevrolet Corvair Monza 900 is an incredibly well-maintained survivor that is believed to have had only 2 previous owners.
Originally introduced in the Fall of 1959, Chevrolet's Corvair saw numerous engineering improvements and initially received industry-wide accolades.
The name Corvair was a combination of two of Chevy's most successful vehicles at the time, Corvette and Bel Air.
From a rear-mounted air-cooled aluminum engine block to the front trunk to the unconventional styling for the time, the Corvair became the compact car for Chevrolet.
The Monza Series, which was introduced in April 1960, gave the Corvair more standard options, plusher interiors, and a more sporty feel.
The 1963 Monza Covairs had vinyl bucket seats, deluxe steering wheels, cigarette lighters, Monza-specific trim, additional interior and exterior lighting, and more as standard equipment.
This particular Corvair Monza 900 comes to us from a collector who recently passed away and owned the car for almost 15 years.
We were told by this gentleman's family that he purchased this Corvair from its original owner one day at a car show.
The rear mounted engine in this Corvair is an aluminum 145 Cubic Inch Horizontally Opposed 6 Cylinder that is air cooled and pushed out 102 horsepower in its day.

Flat 6 receives fuel from dual 1 barrel carburetors and pushes power to the rear wheels.
According to the fender tag on this Monza, it was ordered with the upgraded Powerglide Automatic Transmission, a tinted windshield, and padded dash.
This Corvair rides on 4 P175/80R13 Whitewall Radial Tires with Full Wheel Covers that give the car a stock look and a nice ride.
The exterior on this classic Chevrolet is its original Palomar Red color and the exterior paint shows fantastic.
Like on every Corvair of this vintage, the trunk is in the front of the vehicle and was recently detailed.
The interior on this Corvair is stunning! The front bucket seats and rear bench seat are covered in tufted Fawn Vinyl, just like when this car rolled off the Willow Run, Michigan production line.
The deluxe steering wheel, door panels, and headliner are all in wonderful condition and have a fantastic look.
The padded dash is in superb condition and is in its stock configuration.
Stock instrumentation includes a 100 MPH speedometer and fuel gauge.
