Vehicle Description This 1930 Ford Model A Deluxe Roadster is a well preserved antique that is a blast to drive! From the 1910s through the mid 1920s, Ford's Model T dominated the market and millions were on the road.
By the time 1925 rolled around, a number of major improvements shifted from luxuries to standard, necessary equipment on automobiles including sliding gear 3 speed transmissions and electric starters.
Between 1925 through 1927, Edsel Ford had convinced his notably stubborn father Henry Ford that FoMoCo needed to develop a new car with all of the latest technology.
Initially introduced to the public in late 1927, the Model A was an instant success for the Ford Motor Company and set a new sales record for Ford.
By 1930, the Model A received a major facelift with larger tires on smaller wheels, wider fenders, and a deeper radiator shell.
All of these changes contributed to longer, lower and more beautiful overall appearance to the Model A.
The '30 Roadsters also had wider doors, wider and lower seats, along with higher sides which elevated the look of the car.
In August 1930, Ford introduced the Deluxe Roadster which saw the introduction of dual cowl lamps as standard equipment.
This particular Model A Roadster comes to us from a long-time previous owner who owned and enjoyed the car for over 15 years.
