Vehicle Description This 1952 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup Truck is a fantastic summer cruiser having received the full restomod treatment during its restoration.
Chevrolet has a long history building pickup trucks, dating back to 1918 when the company produced its first commercial line of trucks.
Chevy continued building these trucks until World War II halted all production until 1946.
Once production started back up again in 1946, the company sold over a quarter million new pickups and the public continued purchasing the new Chevy trucks in droves.
In 1948, Chevrolet completely redesigned its truck line and that style continued into the early 50s with only minor changes.
Introduced in January of 1952, Chevy's new truck line was known as the Advance-Design series and was touted for its impeccable build quality, ease of use, and overall driver comfort features.
According to the '52 Chevrolet marketing materials, the step-side, light-duty pickup trucks were said to have been designed to serve a wide variety of uses.
New in 1952 was the introduction of push-button exterior door handles, which marked a deviation from the previous years' twist-style handles.
However, not much else changed from the previous year in large part due to marked sales success of the light-duty line.
Recently, due to the substantial availability of parts and upgrades, the Advance-Design light-duty Chevy Trucks have been a favorite of many restomodders.
By receiving modern amenities, these early 50s trucks are more comfortable and enjoyable to take on longer cruises and trips.
This particular '52 Chevy comes to us from a collector who clearly enjoyed it while under their ownership.
Under the hood on this particular '52 Chevrolet Pickup is a dressed up 305 Cubic Inch V8 engine paired with a single 4 barrel carburetor, pushing out way more horsepower than the Thriftmaster that came standard on one of these trucks.
The small-block V8 is hooked up to an Automatic Transmission with a column-mounted shifter ensuring that just about anyone can take this classic pickup truck for a spin around the block.
This 3100 Stepside Restomod is loaded with upgrades! With power steering, getting in and out of those tight spaces at the local car show is made much easier.
Power front disc brakes make bringing this '52 Pickup to a stop a breeze, especially with all that extra muscle under the hood.
Vintage Air Conditioning ensures that you'll stay cool while cruising even on the hottest summer days.
The steel pickup box and wood bed slats are in wonderful shape and are ready to haul almost anything.
Riding on 20 Ridler Wheels, with 255/35R20 radials in front and 275/40ZR20 radials in the rear, this 1952 1/2 Ton Pickup has a fantastic look and even better ride.
The exterior on this 1952 Chevy 3100 has been refinished in a beautiful Swift Red basecoat/clearcoat.
The interior on this pickup truck is exquisitely tasteful! The front bench seat and door panels have been reupholstered in black vinyl with red stitching that ties together the exterior and interiors looks of the truck.
The painted Swift Red exterior appearance is carried inside the cab of the truck and on the dash.
The dash-mounted gauges have been upgraded to Dakota Digital VHX system complete with a 160 MPH speedometer, 8,000 RPM tachometer, temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge, volt gauge, and fuel gauge.
The Vintage Air Conditioning controls and vent are also mounted neatly under the dash.
Whether you're looking to purchase your first vintage truck or you're adding to your existing collection, this 1952 Chevrolet 3100 Stepside Pickup Truck would make an excellent choice.
