Vehicle Description This 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air is a frame off restored example with Arizona history that lived in the collection of prominent local collector.
The Bel Air Series were the top-of-the-line models for Chevrolet in 1956.
The '56 Bel Airs underwent a minor redesign in 1956, with new Chevrolet branding on the newly flatter hoods as well as chrome trim that ran from the front fender and swept to rear bumper.
Those Bel Airs that had V8 engines were also treated with the iconic V trim on their hoods, signifying the V8 tucked underneath.
The tail lights also saw a redesign, with fuel fill being relocated from the left rear quarter panel to inside the left tail light housing.
The rear quarter panels were also adorned with Bel Air script trim, which was a new addition to the Bel Air style.
This particular '56 Chevy Bel Air comes to us from prominent local collector who kept this car in his private collection for over 15 years after purchasing it out of Arizona.
Under the hood on this Bel Air is a 265 Cubic Inch V8 engine with a single 2 barrel carburetor, that pushed out 170 horsepower in its day.
Anybody can drive this '56 Chevy because the 265 V8 is hooked up to a Powerglide Automatic transmission.
