Vehicle Description This 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air is a beautifully restored 2 door hardtop with fantastic restomod upgrades! Introduced to Chevy dealers in November 1955, the 1956 Chevrolet passenger cars received a minor facelift from the previous year.
Sitting atop the Chevrolet hierarchy was the Bel Air, the plushest and most richly appointed Chevrolet both inside and out.
In 1956, the Chevy grilles were elongated, running the full width of the car.
Additionally, the hoods were longer, flatter, and had an accentuated V treatment, along with new emblems and trim.
The beltline trim running down the side of the 1956 Bel Airs was also updated, running nearly the full length of the car and sweeping down at the rear.
At the back end of the 1956 Chevy, the taillights received new styling and, in true 50s fashion, the fuel filler cap is hidden behind the driver's side tail light.
On the inside, the Bel Airs were plusher than the entry level Chevrolets and they were very well-optioned, with all of them coming with clocks and lockable gloveboxes, a big of luxury back in 1956.
Due to the high level of interchangeability of stock Chevy parts and the wide availability of aftermarket parts, the Tri-Five Chevys have always been sought out for street rod and restomod builds and projects.
When well-done, as this particular '56 Bel Air is, a restomod Bel Air is a very desirable and wonderful car to drive and enjoy, benefitting from both upgraded looks as well as improved performance beyond what was available back in 1956.
Powering this '56 Chevy is a dressed up 350 Cu.
In.
V8 crate engine paired with an Edelbrock Single 4 Barrel Carburetor.

Being that this 1956 Chevrolet is a restomod, it's loaded with fantastic options and upgrades! With power steering, manuvering this 2 door hardtop in and out of tight spaces at car shows is a breeze and the overall driving experience is much improved.
Power front disc brakes makes bringing this Bel Air to complete stop much easier as well.
You'll be able to stay cool even on the hottest summer days since this 1956 Bel Air is equipped with air conditioning.
Front and rear sway bars are a welcome addition since they enhance this Bel Air's handling, especially with all of the performance upgrades under the hood.
Riding on a set of 195/60R15 radials in front and 225/60R15 radials in the rear, all of which are mounted on polished American Racing wheels, this staggered stance 1956 Bel Air has a nice old school look and a fantastic ride.
The exterior on this Chevy Bel Air has a stand out look having been refinished in a beautifully two-tone paint scheme consisting on Matador Red and India Ivory.
The interior on this '56 Chevy Bel Air is superb! the front and rear bench seats have been reupholstered in White Vinyl with Red Cloth inserts.
The dash, door panels, carpeting and steering wheel are in great shape and retain a nice stock look.
Although the steering wheel appears stock, the steering column has been upgraded so that the steering wheel tilts for a more comfortable ride.
The dash is equipped with a 110 MPH speedometer, temperature gauge, and fuel gauge, along with a clock and retro-style AM/FM radio.
Mounted neatly under the dash is the Air Conditioning unit as well as a trifecta of aftermarket gauges including gauges for oil pressure, temperature, and battery level.
